Through their multi-subject projects, students will address community concerns, explore careers, engage in community service, utilize technology, interact with adult mentors, and present their work to various audiences.

Core Curriculum
All students are held to the New York State Standards in core subject areas.
English Language Arts: New York State empowers educators to select texts, identify products, and use a rich array of instructional strategies and activities to meet student learning needs. This core curriculum is designed to provide assistance, while allowing for creativity, in the development of local instructional materials. Students learn to communicate their thoughts, use appropriate scientific language, and demonstrate understanding of science process skills and procedures. The eighth-grade Science Exit Project is one important way that students demonstrate their ability to use these skills to complete a scientific investigation. Middle school students study the complexities of the Eastern hemisphere nations (Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia) in grade 6 and enhance their historical knowledge of the United States in grades 7 and 8.
